And how about Rwanda? The Congo? The many other wars the world ignored?
OR the Bosnia/Serbian war- possibly the one sucess story of foreign intervention in recent times- in no small part because it was not in our interest- but was what was right.
Yes- the US has a terrible track record with intervention. LArgely because it only does so when it’s own strategic or economic interests are in play.
But has the left already forgotten the promise and hope of the Arab Spring? The comparisons to the Occupy movement? But of course we have nothing to gain so let’s not get involved….
